International Academy of Hair and Aesthetics Awards $3,000 in Scholarships to Aesthetics Students.

Two scholarships, one for $2,000 and one for $1,000 were recently awarded to two students at the International Academy of Hair and Aesthetics in Tempe, AZ.

    TEMPE, AZ, September 01, 2009 /Technical PR News/ -- Two scholarships, one for $2,000 and another for $1,000, have been awarded to two aesthetics students at the International Academy of Hair & Aesthetics, 4812 S. Mill Ave. in Tempe.
Both students are in training to become licensed skin care specialists. After they complete their studies and pass their state board exams, they will be able to work with clients to treat facial skin to maintain and improve its appearance. The scholarships will allow them to have more advanced training through the National Laser Institute.
Amanda Tihey won first place and Baeley Haught received second place for their essays, or pledge, outlining their commitment to their future careers as aestheticians.
Tihey, a resident of Thatcher, AZ, outlined her passion for her future career in aesthetics, her desire to always serve in the best interest of her clients, as well as her responsibility to continually update her skills and knowledge.
Haught, who recently graduated from the aesthetics school and who lives in Gilbert, also outlined her desire to serve her clients to the best of her ability and to adhere to the guidelines of the State Board regarding standards of sanitation, hygiene, safety and universal precautions.
"At the International Academy of Hair & Aesthetics, we take our student's education seriously, but we also try to provide a fun and friendly environment that provides our students to develop as caring and gifted professionals," said Martha Hoffman, director of education for the aesthetics program. "With so many of our graduates working at beauty salons, health spas and physician's offices, it appears that we are succeeding in our goals."
International Academy of Hair & Aesthetics offers a program in aesthetics, as well as a cosmetology program. The school is located on the west side of Mill Avenue, just south of I-60. There is covered parking for both students and patrons.
