The Florida Retina Symposium Orlando Delivered Unique Approach to Education

Regional Optometrists attended three day event held at Reunion Resort in Orlando

    ORLANDO, FL, October 08, 2009 /Technical PR News/ -- For the third consecutive year, The Center for Retina and Macular Disease produced a high quality educational event specifically for the optometric community. The Florida Retina Symposium Orlando is presented annually and attracted optometrists from around the nation and as far away as Puerto Rico and Canada. This year's symposium was held on September 25th- 27th at the beautiful Reunion Resort, Orlando, FL.

In addition to a world class venue, The Florida Retina Symposium Orlando offers a mix of elements that produces a distinctive educational event. Over the three days, attending optometrists learned innovative ways of diagnosing and treating retinal diseases from several nationally renowned speakers. The speakers on hand are considered experts in their fields that ranged from vascular diseases and future treatments such as genetics and stem cells to medical/billing and jurisprudence.

Over the years, Dr. David Misch, Founder of The Center for Retina and Macular Disease acknowledged the importance of educating optometrists to assist the retina specialist in identifying and managing retinal and macular diseases.
