Erskine to the distinguished ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the arts. As an Artist, Owner and Art Teacher at Shirley Erskine Studio, as well as throughout her brilliant professional career, Shirley has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
Shirley is an internationally acclaimed, award winning artist who creates expressionistic artwork with a varied range of theme and subject matter. She uses transparent inks to achieve an effect of a glasslike fragility. Shirley's paintings have been exhibited extensively in several private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada, England, Europe, Asia, United Arab Emirates, and Australia, earning numerous awards along the way.
During her collegiate career, Shirley studied Art at Sheridan College Oakville and the University of Toronto, graduating in 1978. She was recognized as Mississauga's Visual Artist of the Year in 1997. Shirley is a member of the Society of Canadian Artists, Color and Form Society, International Society of Artists, and the International Society of Experimental Artists.
